1. Customer Background

Coftaph is a local HDPE plastic products manufacturer located in the central island region of the Philippines, specializing in HDPE plastic buckets, water supply and drainage pipes, and everyday plastic containers. Its raw materials mainly consist of recycled HDPE rigid resin. Situated on an island, the factory faces high ambient humidity and an unstable power supply.

2. Core Pain Points

1. The recycled HDPE buckets and pipes are contaminated with mud, sand, labels, and stains, resulting in a high impurity content. Standard equipment and cutting tools experience rapid wear and frequent breakdowns.

2. Due to the island’s high humidity and the high moisture content of the raw materials, pellets produced by conventional equipment are prone to air bubbles and breakage, leading to inconsistent product quality.

3. Local industrial spare parts are scarce, and repair cycles after equipment failure are lengthy, placing extremely high demands on equipment reliability and durability.

3. Our Solution

We configured an **SJ160 HDPE Rigid Resin Recycling Pelletizing Line** tailored to island operating conditions:

  • A integrated pre-processing sequence combining crushing, friction washing, and rinsing, effectively removing mud, sand, and labels from the rigid resin.

  • The screw and cutting tools are made of thickened, wear-resistant alloy, capable of handling highly impure feedstock and extending service life.

  • The electrical control system is designed to accommodate wide voltage fluctuations, addressing the challenges posed by the local unstable power supply.

  • A complete set of consumable spare parts is included as standard, ensuring long-term maintenance needs are met.

4. Quantitative Business Outcomes

1. The stable production capacity of the hard-plastic crushing and pelletizing line reaches 900 kg/h, suitable for processing various HDPE waste streams such as buckets, pipes, and bottle caps.

2. Annual equipment downtime due to malfunctions is less than 72 hours, with no major breakdowns, making it well-suited to the challenging operational environment of the island.

3. Even under high-humidity conditions, the moisture content of the finished pellets remains stably controlled below 0.3%, with no issues of air bubbles or breakage, achieving a qualified rate of 97.5%.

4. The wear-resistant cutting tools offer a service life 120% longer than standard models, significantly reducing spare parts replacement costs.

5. Project Value

This solution specifically addresses the pain points of high humidity, unstable power supply, and inconvenient maintenance typical of island environments. The equipment’s durability and stability have earned high praise from the customer, establishing it as a benchmark configuration for local plastic recycling plants.
