1. Customer Background

ARGUS MASZYNY SP.Z.O.O. is a specialized Polish manufacturer of modified plastic pellets, supplying modified recycled plastics to the automotive and electronic components industries in Central and Eastern Europe, with a focus on high-value-added functional pellet products.

2. Core Pain Points

1. The existing single-screw pelletizing equipment has limited impurity removal capabilities, resulting in recycled pellets with numerous contaminants that fail to meet the performance requirements of automotive components;

2. It cannot perform filling, toughening, and compounding modification processes online, necessitating additional blending equipment, leading to a lengthy production process and high costs;

3. The products can only serve the low-end injection molding market, offering low added value and weak market competitiveness.

3. Our Solution

We delivered the **TSSK65 twin-screw extrusion pelletizing machine**, establishing a high-end modified recycled material production line:

  • The twin-screw co-rotating parallel extrusion delivers excellent shear mixing, enabling simultaneous melting, impurity removal, and compounding modification;

  • A side-feed system is included, allowing for the online addition of glass fibers, toughening agents, and fillers to achieve functional modifications;

  • A vacuum degassing unit thoroughly removes volatiles and small-molecule impurities from the material, enhancing pellet performance.

 4. Quantified Business Outcomes

1. The twin-screw system ensures thorough melting and impurity removal, reducing the impurity content of the finished recycled pellets to below 0.8%;

2. It enables one-stop completion of modification processes such as glass fiber reinforcement, toughening, and coloration, eliminating the need for additional blending equipment and shortening the production process by 40%;

3. The market price of the modified pellets has increased by 18%, allowing direct supply to automotive interior and electronic component manufacturers;

4. The company’s product gross margin has improved by 22 percentage points, successfully entering the high-end modified recycled materials market in Central and Eastern Europe.

5. Project Value

This project helped the customer upgrade its product range from “low-end general-purpose pellets” to “high-end functional modified pellets,” expanding its portfolio of high-value customers and significantly boosting the company’s profitability.
